10月11日下午，美国学者Paul F. Williamson先生为我校外事志愿者团队的同学们带来了一场名为Public Speaking in English的精彩讲座，从而拉开了必赢nn699net新一轮外事志愿者培训的序幕。
Williamson先生认为你不需要“完美的英语”，其实完美的英语是不存在的，只要与你对话的人明白你的意思，那你所说的就是“完美的英语”。他从语调、语速、听众、对视、停顿、手势、走动、勤练、风格等方面给出了英语演说的建议。讲座气氛热烈，同学们踊跃发言和提问，把讲座推向高潮。
据悉，我校每一年从入学的新生中挑选一批高素质的英语爱好者组建一支外事志愿者队伍，并进行外事纪律、外事礼仪、武夷文化、武院风采等的培训。外事志愿者的热情的服务及流利的英语赢得了外教、留学生及来访的国际友人的一致赞誉。
American Scholar Hold a Speech for Foreign Affair Volunteers
Paul F.Williamson, American scholar, gave a speech about Public Speaking in English for Foreign Affair Volunteers of Wuyi University on October 11th.The speech means the new rounds of training for volunteer members is begun.
Mr. Williamson said you don’t need perfect English and there is no such thing.You need to be understood if the person you are speaking to understands what you are saying that is perfect English. And he talked about how the Intonation，Speed of speaking, Audience profile, Eye contact, Silence, Gestures, Speed of flow, Move around, Passion and Speaking styles works in the speech.
The speech gained a big success.The students asked a lot of questions at the end of the speech.And Mr.Williamson won rounds of applause for his great speech.
Foreign Affair Volunteers is a team to help foreign teachers, overseas students and international visitors.The Wuyi university will chose the members from freshmen who has great personality and good at English.Each year, the Volunteer members will have training about foreign discipline, foreign manner, Wuyi culture and information.etc.
